Three men who were found dead in different plantations in Tongatapu and Vava’u in early May, are reported to have died from heart attacks, said a police spokesperson in Nuku'alofa today.

On 5 May, a 50-year-old man collapsed and died at this plantation in Nukunuku.

Three-days later, on 8 May in Vaini, a 48-year-old man was confirmed to have collapsed and died at his plantation.

Police said medical reports from Vaiola Hospital said these two cases were sudden deaths from suspected heart attacks.

Meanwhile, on Monday 11 May a 43-year-old man was found dead at his plantation in Feletoa, Vava’u.

“The death in Vava’u is also suspected to be from a heart attack. We have found no suspicious circumstances regarding these deaths,” a police spokesperson said.
