Int'l flights to Vava’u start November [1]

International direct flights from Nadi to Vava’u operated by Fiji Airways are expected to start in November, as well as direct flights from Apia to Tongatapu.
The Minister of Infrastructure Hon ‘Etuate Lavulavu confirmed the new services after holding talks with Fiji Airways officials in Nadi last week.
The new services will open up international access to Vava'u from Asia and Australasia via Nadi.
Lavulavu represented Tonga in the talks with Hon. Poasi Tei the Minister of Public Enterprises and Viliami Ma’ake CEO of Tonga Airports Ltd., while accompanying the Prime Minister Hon ‘Akilisi Pohiva to Fiji where he met with Fijian Prime Minister Frank Voreqe Bainimarama.
