Tonga's 2014-15 Parliamentary session will be officially closed on May 21,  before reopening a week later with a state ceremony on May 28 for the 2015-16 Parliamentary session..

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office today stated that the three nobles to conduct the soft closing of the 2014-15 parliamentary session are yet to be named.

Meanwhile the Prime Minister, Hon. 'Akilisi Pohiva, accompanied by the Minister for Infrastructure, Hon. 'Etuate Lavulavu and the Minister for Public Enterprises Poasi Tei are on an official visit to Fiji. While in Fiji the Prime Minister will give the keynote address at the Regional Pacific Islands Green Growth Coalition meeting, hosted by the International Union for the Conservation of nature. He will also meet Fiji's Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.

The Prime Minister and his delegation are expected back in Tonga early next week.
