Tonga Power announces tariff reductions [1]

Electricity tariffs are to be cut from March 1 in tariff reductions annouced by Tonga Power Ltd.today February 26.

Tonga Power is to cut the electricity tariff to 75.00 seniti per kWh, from the current 80.27 seniti per kWh. The cuts follow steep reductions in fuel prices.

According to Tonga Power, the current rate is the lowest rate for electricity tariff since 2009. Tonga power stated “This tariff reduction has dropped by 18% since October last year with an impact on the power bill at $5.27 for every 100 kWh of electricity consumed.”
