Nuku'alofa, Tonga

Monday, February 16, 2015 - 16:54.  Updated on Monday, February 16, 2015 - 17:56.

The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints (LDS) will be hosting a feature length film documentary tomorrow February 17 at the Fa’onelua Convention Centre.

The documentary follows the lives of six devout Mormons around the world.

According to organisers of the premiere “Meet the Mormons is a movie about six diverse Latter-day Saints (a humanitarian, a coach, a fighter, a mother, a bishop and a candy bomber) and their families who come from difference cultures but are devout members of the Mormon faith. It is filmed in locations around the globe and takes viewers on a day-today journey of ordinary people with individual passions and daily struggles which all mankind face regardless of religion, race, societal status and family situation.”

The documentary was produced by the LDS church and was released late last year. It will be shown nationwide until March 6.
