New Governor of Ha‘apai appointed [1]

Mo’ale Finau (55) was appointed the Governor of Ha’apai during a ceremony at an LDS Church in Hihifo on Thursday, February 12.

A letter of appointment from King Tupou VI was read out by the Acting Secretary to Cabinet ‘Aholotu Palu.

Mo’ale was the Ha’apai People’s Representative for Constituent No. 12, but lost his seat in the November 2014 election to Vili Hingano.

The Prime Minister Hon ‘Akilisi Pohiva was present at the ceremony, which included feasting and traditional dancing.
