Court to hear application for liquidation of bank [1]

An application to appoint a liquidator for the liquidation of the Pacific International Commercial Bank will be mentioned at the Nuku'alofa Supreme Court on Friday, 30 January.
The case to be called before the Hon Chief Justice Paulsen tomorrow morning is to set a hearing date.
Nuku’alofa Investment Ltd., a creditor of the bank, filed the application to the Supreme Court to appoint a liquidator for the liquidation.
The bank has been operating in Nuku’alofa for less than a year since it was opened on April 7 , 2014.
Located at the Loumaile Lodge in the CBD, the bank is a Chinese-Tongan venture.
