The current session of the Legislative Assembly is expected to continue at 2:00pm on Wednesday 21 January after the reply to the address by King Tupou VI is delivered.

The Clerk of the House Gloria Pole’o said today the reply to the opening address by the King had to be delivered, before the House could proceed with other business.

Two members, Tongatapu Noble's Representative Lord Vaea and Ha'apai People's Representative Veivosa Taka will deliver the reply in an audience with the King at 10:0am before the House proceeds at 2:00pm.

The first sitting of Parliament was on Monday, 19 January where members were sworn in.
