Police appeal for information in student’s death [1]

The Tonga Police are appealing to the public for any information regarding the death of a 16-year-old boy on Sunday, 11 January at Vaiola Hospital, after he was found severely injured on the side of the road in Lapaha.

The victim, a student at Takuilau College, was found alive but severely injured and bruised at 3:00am on Sunday.

He was rushed to the hospital but died at 9:00am on the same morning from serious injuries to the head.

The Acting Deputy Commissioner Salote Tonga today appealed to the public, especially people in the area of Lapaha and Eastern District, to come forward if they have any information regarding what happened to the youth.
