Man stabbed in land dispute [1]

A 39-year-old man is in custody for stabbing his 45-year-old uncle during an argument over a piece of land at Fatai on Wednesday, 14 January.

The Acting Deputy Commissioner Salote Tonga said the victim is reported to be in a stable condition at Vaiola Hospital.

She said the accused who has been charged with grievous bodily harm remained in police custody.

The uncle and nephew lived in the same compound but in different houses. At 6:00pm they had an argument over the land and the accused armed with a kitchen knife allegedly attacked the victim stabbing him three times.

The uncle sustained injuries to his chest, shoulder and nose.
