Queen Halaevalu Mata'aho will officially open Tonga's 2004 Agricultural and Industrial Show at Angaha, Niuafo'ou, on August 25.

Line Ma'asi of the Ministry of Agriculture said that the show at Angaha will be for both Niuatoputapu and Niuafo'ou.

The show for the Vava'u group will be opened by HM King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV at Neiafu, Vava'u, on August 28, to be followed by Ha'apai on August 31, 'Eua on September 7 and Tongatapu on September 10.

Line said that the Tongatapu Show will run for two days, September 10-11. She said that the turn out for the show in the northern groups, the Niuas, Vava'u and Ha'apai were expected to be big because they did not participate in the last show in 2002 following Cyclone Waka.

Because of uncertainties over the domestic air service to the Niuas, the Ministry of Agriculture last week confirmed that the Queen will be travelling to the Niuafo'ou by ship.
