Singapore

Wednesday, August 6, 2014 - 14:14

Vanuatu and Singapore have concluded an Air Services Agreement (ASA) on August 5 that allows airlines of the two countries to fly between Singapore and Vanuatu, as well as via or beyond to any third country.

Under the agreement  there are no restrictions on capacity, frequency and aircraft type.

The ASA was signed in Singapore by Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew and Vanuatu’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Sato Kilman.

Channel News Asia reported that Mr Lui said: “The conclusion of this ASA reflects the warm bilateral ties between Singapore and Vanuatu. The fully liberal air services framework established will allow carriers from both countries to respond quickly to market opportunities.”

With the Singapore-Vanuatu ASA, Singapore has now established about 120 ASAs.
