New bicycles for Fatumu Patrol Post patrols [1]

The Tongan Police have donated bicycles to the Fatumu village Community Patrol Post to assist volunteers in their patrolling of their community.
Three bicycles along with six vests, and four torches were handed over by the Tongan Police to the village town officer and volunteers on 24 July.
Fatumu joins 35 other villages in Tongatapu that now have patrol posts, with residents volunteering to carry out the patrols.
The Head of the Community Policing Division, Inspector ‘Emalongi Tongi said that their affiliation with the Fatumu Community Partol Post is part of their work to assist villages to ensure their communities are safe.
Police officers will also be assigned to train volunteers in Fatumu who are undertaking the community patrol.
Fatumu is situated on the eastern district of Tongatapu.
