Police have identified ‘Aisea Tu’ineau Latu (49) as the man killed on Tuesday, 22 July at Afa on the eastern district of Tongatapu.

Three men between the ages of 18-25 have been charged with murder. They are currently detained in police custody to appear on 16 August at the Mu’a Magistrate’s Court.

Police said today the victim, a father of six children was walking home from a kava club at around 1:10am when he allegedly got into an argument with the accused resulting in a fight. He died on the way to Vaiola Hospital.

Meanwhile, police are waiting on the doctor's report on his post-mortem examination which was completed on Wednesday 23 July.
