Samoa assists Ha‘apai cyclone relief effort [1]

A cheque was presented to Princess Angelika Lātūfuipeka Tuku‘aho, High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Tonga to Australia, by Mr Brian Kaio, Acting High Commissioner of Samoa in Canberra, yesterday 26 June.
Calling on the High Commission of Tonga in Canberra, Mr Kaio expressed the Government of Samoa's sympathy and sorrow towards the loss of lives and livelihoods caused by the Cyclone in January this year; and extended gratitude over Tonga's support to Samoa in previous cyclone devastation and the tsunami of 2009 by furnishing monetary and relief support.
The Princess presented Mr Kaio with a gift on behalf of the High Commission in appreciation for the generous donation from Samoa.
