Cheaper fuel prices for May-June [1]

Petroleum prices have been lowered, while diesel prices are slightly increased, effective from today May 16.

The Ministry of Commerce, Tourism and Labour announced that the Tonga Competent Authority approved decreases to be effective until mid-June.

The retail price for Petrol was lowered by 0.10 seniti per Litre to a new price of 287.94 per Litre.

The retail price for Diesel was increased by 0.03 seniti per Litre to a new price of 292.64 per Litre.

The retail price for Kerosene was lowered by 0.96 seniti per Litre to a new price of 228.84 per Litre. All changes include Consumption Tax.

The small changes in prices are due to the appreciation of the Tongan Pa’anga, which has offset the small increase in benchmark prices and freight.
