Tonga's Prime Minister Lord Tu’ivakano arrived in Singapore yesterday to renew relations with the Government of Singapore. His visit will end on Thursday, 1 May.

Lord Tu’ivakano will pay a visit to Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loon today 28 April, to promote assistance in areas of mutual interest between Tonga and Singapore.

A meeting is also scheduled with Singapore’s Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Environment and Water Resources, Gracie Fu to renew Tonga’s relations with the Government of Singapore.

While in Singapore, the Prime Minister will also participate as a keynote speaker in several events organised by the United Nations Development Programme’s Global Centre for Public Service Excellence (GCPSE).

Tomorrow 29 April, the Prime Minister will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Nanyang Business School. The memorandum is to provide partial scholarships for MBA courses and fellowships to Tongan Senior Government Officials.
