Tonga’s Legislative Assembly 2013 session will resume on March 24 to discuss outstanding bills before it officially closes its session.

Parliament is to re-open on June 5 for the 2014 session.

The House was adjourned from Thursday, October 24, 2013 to early this year.

The Clerk Gloria Guttenbeil-Pole’o said the agenda would be confirmed next week, but the sitting would resume to deliberate on outstanding Bills and other items from last year.

She said the 2013 session would have soft closing on April 3, 2014,  before a state opening on June 5, to start the 2014 Parliament session and discuss the national budget.
