No fanfare for Parliament closing on Thursday [1]

THE Tonga Legislative Assembly's 2009 session will finally be closed on Thursday, April 22.
Dr Viliami Uasike Latu the Clerk of the House confirmed this afternoon that the closing on Thursday would be "a soft closing," without the usual fanfare of school children lining and marching the streets of Nuku'alofa and without the king.
A program has not been released at this stage on who would be closing the 2009 session.
Parliament's 2009 Session ran over into 2010 to discuss the political reform. It had planned to close on April 20 but was delayed to Thursday, as matters regarding the Political Reform were not settled.
Parliament is set to officially open its 2010 session in June and run until October or November, before closing its last session under the current system.
