Delay in GSM upgrade for Tonga [1]

The launching of the Tonfön's new upgraded Global System for Mobile Communication Service targeted for December 31 has been delayed, according to John Kornele, Tonfon's Technical Manager.
John could not give a specific date for when the service will be in operation, other than "as soon as possible"
The new upgraded GSM service will increase Tonfön's capacity from 5,000 to 50,000 subscribers, and will have the capacity to provide services such as fax, data, PABX, broadcasting short messages and voice mailbox.
Huawei Technologies of China is carrying out the upgrade construction.
