The newly renovated Tonga Visitor Information Centre was opened for viewing today and visited by regional delegates in the Kingdom for the South Pacific Tourism of Organisation Council of Ministers meeting.
Tonga’s tourism team are delighted with the new look centre, completed after three months of extensive renovations that include a new roof, office refurbishment and landscaped garden. The tourism team welcomed tourism ministers from around the Pacific region.
The General Manager of Tourism Tonga, Stuart Perry stated “We made a decision that we wanted a modern professional Visitor Information Centre to provide high quality information about the attractions, the operators and all of the highlights of Tonga but unfortunately the old centre was getting very tired with very limited resources.”
“We have retained the beautiful traditional styled Fale building as the main Visitor Information Centre but have put in new brochure stands, and retail product displays. Large video screens and some very attractive decorative wall panels.”
