Customer Sales Agent (Tonga)

There is an exciting opportunity for an individual who can passionately deliver an excellent service standard to maintain high customer satisfaction with our Sales team based in Tonga.

The successful incumbent will act as a link for the organization to maximize opportunities to make sales whilst providing product/ service delivery, information and resolving product enquiries and problems. This role requires an efficient and accurate delivery of itinerary planning, reservations and ticketing services to clients for international, regional or domestic travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile and ticket customer bookings whilst using the correct methods and tools to provide clients with valid and complete information.
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve customer satisfaction. This includes offering information on visa requirements, rescheduled flights, and reservations for hotels, rentals and tours.
  • Conduct Sales calls to churches, sport groups, schools, communities, government bodies and the private sector.
  • Provide support and advice to customers on any Fiji Airways fares and ticketing issues ensuring these are resolved expeditiously.
  • Provide information on clearance of bookings and pricing strategies for group handling and special events.
  • Collect ticket payments and issue tickets, ETKTS, PTA’s, EMD and airline documents, and ensure refunds are processed (if any) in a timely manner.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancy queries and minimize Agency Debit Memos (ADMs).
  • Ensure to bank the collections from ticket cash and cheque proceeds daily and complete
  • the Daily Sales Return (DSR) for the Company to dispatch accountable documents to Finance.
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints including mishandled baggage.
  • Obtain regular feedback from customers on service improvements.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Successfully completed high school.
  • Functional knowledge of Amadeus Reservations and Ticketing.
  • Completed Fares & Ticketing Stage I, II and III.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment and 1 year in airline sales and ticketing.
  • Able to build of easy (non-complex) bookings and have good sales skills and technique.
  • Sound knowledge of the IATA rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills with good telephone etiquettes.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft applications.
  • Possess general knowledge of the Tourism and Airline industry and aware of the languages and cultures of Fiji and the Pacific Islands.
