  • Must have a Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized common law tertiary institution and admission to the legal bar in a common  law jurisdictional
  • Completion of Professional Legal
  • Studies Course from a recognized common law institution/jurisdiction
  • Understanding of Tongan legal
  • system and practice
  • Understanding of Government system, procedures and practice
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Experience in public speaking
  • Fluent in Tongan and English, written and oral
  • Performs  under pressure
  • Dedicated
  • Innovative
  • Organized
  • Good Time Management Skills

Assistant Secretary/HR  

Attorney General’s Office

Band L


  • Relevant degree + up to 3 years work experience
  • Relevant diploma + 3 years relevant work experience
  • Relevant certificate /trade/technical qualification + 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Current TPS employee with 5 years experience in a similar role (meeting other core competency and experience requirements specified in the job description + PMS scores of 3 or above for the past 2 consecutive years)
