  • Bachelor Degree in Fisheries / Marine Science / Aquaculture, Biological and Environmental Science or any relevant field from a recognized institution with at least three (3) years of relevant working experience in senior level OR
  • Masters and/or higher qualifications in Fisheries / Marine Science /  Aquaculture, Biological and Environmental Science or any relevant field from a recognized institution with one (1) year of relevant working experience at senior level.

Desirable  

  • Specialized training in Fisheries Economics and Fisheries Science and Marine Affair would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Public Sector Reform and also an ability to interact with work colleagues and stakeholders, familiarization and understanding of Fisheries issues will be an advantage

Senior Technical Officer (SMA Officer)

Fisheries Science Division (Vava’u)

  • A Bachelor Degree in Marine Science / Marine Affairs or relevant field from a recognized University with up to 3 years of relevant working experience

OR

  • Diploma in relevant field from a recognized tertiary institution plus 5 years of work experience in a similar role;
  • Higher Qualification may be considered
  • Local resident in Vava’u are desirable
