Tonga Office of the Auditor General (TOAG) is seeking for suitable candidates for Audit Manager (2 positions) and Audit Senior (2 positions). 1.     Audit Manager (two positions)

You’ll manage and lead the Division; one for the Public Enterprises Audit who report to the Executive Director, Financial Audit Unit; and the second for the Development Projects Audit who report to the Executive Director, Compliance Audit Unit.

To be successful in each of these two roles, you will have:

  • Experience in all aspects of financial and compliance auditing in the public sector;
  • Experience in leading and managing of audit teams and audit of broad ranges of clients;
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring of staff professional development and training;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Tongan;
  • Positive attitude, always maintain irreproachable standards of professional conduct, meet deadlines, and going the extra mile; and
  • First degree in Accounting, Financial Administration, or other related area, with, or about to complete, CA or CPA professional status.

Remuneration is relative to Band G of the salary ranges of the Remuneration Authority.

2.     Audit Senior (two positions)

You will lead at least one audit teams carrying out audit of (i) Public Enterprises, and (ii) Development Projects. Each of the two positions reports to respective Audit Manager.

To be successful in each of these two roles, you will have:

  • Experience in financial and compliance auditing in the public sector;
  • Experience in being team leader of audit teams and demonstrated leadership skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Tongan;
  • Positive attitude, hard work and going the extra mile; and
  • First degree in Accounting, Financial Administration, or other related area, or has been working in the area of public sector auditing distinctively for more than 5 years. Essential if currently in progress with completing the CA or CPA professional status.

Remuneration is relative to Band I and J of the salary ranges of the Remuneration Authority.
