Policy and Legislation Officer
The Ministry of Internal Affairs invites applications for the vacant position in its Women Affairs division:
Post Title: Policy and Legislation Officer
Placed at: Band J of the Public Service Band Structure (TOP 39,300.00 per annum)
- To ensure that the Women’s Affairs Division achieves its objectives by providing legal advice to the Ministry, Council and Advisory Bodies, on the implementation, monitoring, evaluations and reviews of legislation and national, regional and international plans and commitments, on women’s empowerment and gender equality.
- 3 years minimum at a senior legal position, gender, policy or related field. Extensive knowledge of public policy and legislation. Bachelor in Law (LLB) or any related field. Desirably, a Masters in Law, Public Policy Social Science or any related field. Ability to convey ideas analytically and clearly in both Tongan and English (written and spoken).
