Mate Ma'a Tonga and Cronulla Shark's frontrower Andrew Fifita has been fined $20,000 (AUD) by the NRL as punishment for his on-field support of convicted killer Kieran Loveridge. The fine comes a week after Andrew was given a notice of breach with five-days to respond by the NRL.

The NRL has announced that Mate Ma'a Tonga front-rower Andrew Fifita, who currently plays for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, was issued a breach of notice with five days to respond. The notice comes after months of controversy surrounding Andrew Fifita's public support for a friend currently serving a 10-year jail sentence for manslaughter. Local reports state that Fifita is likely to receive a fine rather than a suspension.

Kiwi-Samoan boxer Joseph Parker (24) became a world champion after he defeated Andy Ruiz by majority decision on Saturday night. The win makes Parker the first Pacific Islander in history to win a world heavyweight championship belt.

Uaine Fa Jnr. (aka Junior Fa) remembers defeating New Zealand’s champion fighter Joseph Parker back in 2012, in a qualifying amateur boxing competition for the London Olympics. Four years since that encounter, Fa is confident he can beat Parker again as a professional. The Tonga Under 20s team have scored a big win over the Cook Islands in their first game of the U20 Oceania Rugby Championship in Suva, Fiji. Tonga U20s dominated the game, scoring eight tries to beat the Cook Islands U20s 50 – 12. The Cook Islanders managed two tries.

The ‘Ikale Tahi have defeated Italy 19 – 17 after a successful extra-time penalty conversion by Sonatane Takulua snatched a sure victory from the Italians. The loss is a huge anti-climax for Italy who only last week defeated South Africa 20 - 18.

The ‘Ikale Tahi survived a spirited comeback to overcome the United States 20 – 17 in the Spanish city of San Sebastian on Saturday November 19.

The ‘Ikale Tahi have won their first European test match, defeating Spain 28 – 13. The determined Spaniards gave the boys a run for their money, and were leading 3 – 0 in the 30th minute of the match. The ‘Ikale Tahi scored four converted tries in the form of Dan Faleafa, Fetu’u Vainikolo, Sonatane Takulua and Kali Hala. All tries were successfully converted by Sona Takulua.
