Tonga's Prime Minister Hon. 'Akilisi Pohiva remains in the Intensive Care Unit of Vaiola Hospital, where he is being treated for a what is understood to be a temporary ailment acquired last week. Medical authorities said his condition was stable this morning.

Tonga's Prime Minister Hon. 'Akilisi Pohiva was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit at Vaiola Hospital today. No statement on his condition has been issued by the Prime Minister's Office, but medical authorities report that his condition is stable this evening. A medical evacuation to Auckland planned for today was cancelled.
