HM King George Tupou V will fly to Pago Pago, American Samoa tomorrow Tuesday, crossing the dateline to attend the country's annual Flag Day celebrations on April 17, American Samoan time.

Tonga's King George Tupou V will be crowned on August 1, 2007, an announcement from the Tonga Government confirmed today.

FROM OUR ARCHIVES; Hon. Dr Frederick Vaka'uta Sevele, (61) has been appointed as the new Prime Minister of Tonga, as from 30 March 2006, he confirmed last night, calling it, "a new era in cooperation with the private sector...who will drive the economy".

The Tongan Noble Fakafanua (44) died suddenly this morning in Nuku'alofa. The Prime Minister's Office confirmed that Fakafanua collapsed and died on Hala Vuna, Ma'ufanga, while he was out for his early morning walk.
