A couple who have been charged with manslaughter by negligence over the death of their six-month-old baby boy earlier this month were released on bail on February 24. The baby is alleged to have been sick for three-days and died at home from dehydration before the parents took him to Vaiola Hospital.

A 61-year-old man from Afa has been charged with manslaughter by negligence after a 62-year-old cyclist died after he was allegedly hit by a vehicle on the evening of February 6 in Hoi, Tongatapu. It was the second road death in Tonga this year.
