Donations flow in for Ha'apai [1]

The Tongan community in Hilo, Hawaii this week shipped a container of goods for the needy people of Ha'apai in Tonga.
Tivaini Tatogi, a resident of Hilo told Matangi Tonga that the container was a donation from the Tongan community of Hilo.
He said that the effort for the reconstruction of Ha'apai was initiated by he Minister of the Free Church of Tonga, Rev Tupou Tatofi. A 20ft container was stationed at 'Uluaki Fonua, the Free Church of Tonga property at Hilo where members of the Tongan community could load their donations.
The shipment to Tonga was supported by Matson Shipping, Brothers Shipping, and DHX Depentable Hawaii Xpress.
The container is on its way from Hawaii to Tonga, via LA.
He said that the Free Church of Tonga main office in Nuku'alofa will liaise with the Tonga Red Cross for the distribution of the goods to the people of Ha'apai.
