Dateline Hotel has a new owner [1]

Tonga's International Dateline Hotel, will be temporary closed down on 28 February, to enable a major renovation work of the hotel to take place by its new owner, the Tanoa Hotel Group of Fiji.
A Tanoa Hotel Group delegation were in Tonga last week on the final stage of the negotiation for the Tanoa Group to take over the Dateline Hotel.
According to our reliable source, it is understood that an agreement had been reached, but there were still a few legal papers to be signed off.
The Tanoa Hotel Group has hotel properties throughout the Pacific island, with six hotels in Fiji, three hotels in New Zealand, one hotel each in Samoa and Vanuatu.
Tonga's International Dateline Hotel, is expected to be renovaed before the Coronation of King Tupou VI in 2015.
