Running in the rain for Queen's Baton Relay [1]

Torrential rain over Tongatapu did not dampen the spirit of the Glasgow 2014 Queen's Baton Relay on its second day in Tongatapu today, and Prince Tungi received the Queen's Baton, at the Palace Office after its rotation through villages and the capital supported by cheerful throngs of sporting clubs.
The Queen's Baton arrived in Tonga on Monday December 9.
Yesterday, the first leg of the QBR rotation was planned to start in the Hihifo district of Tongatapu at the Christianity Land Place at Ha‘atafu, with Hon. Etani Tuku‘aho as the baton carrier. The rotation went through the villages of the Western District before ending at the Office of Minister of Education and Training in Nuku‘alofa
Today the QBR rotation started from the Ha‘amonga-'a-maui in Niutoua carried by Tamale and travelled through the villages of the Hahake District. It reached Nuku‘alofa in the late afternoon and ended at the Palace Office with Prince Tungi and the Prime Minister Lord Tu'ivakano.
Sports Federations and clubs who are members of the Tonga Amateur Sports Association (TASA), took part in the relays. Local businesses in the CBD also participated.
