An Australian-Tongan professional Mixed-Martial-arts fighter (MMA) fighter, Soa “the Hulk” Palelei, has caught the attention of MMA audiences after he knocked-out a popular American kick-boxer in an Ultimate Fighter Championship bout yesterday December 8 in Brisbane, Australia.
The six foot-four and light-heavyweight, Hulk was fighting in the main card of a major Ultimate Fighter Competition (UFC) event, the “UFC Fight Night 33 championship”.
His bout against popular American kick-boxer Pat Barry was scheduled for five rounds, but ended only two minutes into the first round after the Hulk tackled Barry to the ground and knocked him out with a barrage of punches.
The bout is Palelei’s second Ultimate Fighter Competition bout this year. He similarly knocked out a Ukrainian fighter in August. The two victories are being considered a comeback for the 36 year-old who was dropped from the Ultimate Fighter Competition in 2007.
Palelei boasts a fighting record of 20 wins (16 Knockouts) and 3 defeats.
