Ha'apai operator charged with assault [1]

A tourism operator in Ha'apai has been charged with assault and selling liquor without a license, according to Tonga Police in Nuku'alofa.
The Deputy Police Commissioner Soakai Motu'apuaka said that a foreign man was arrested and charged by police on Saturday, September 21.
He has been charged with assault in relation to a guest and selling liquor without a license and was released on bail awaiting a court date.
It is understood the accused’s business offers activities such as diving, whale watching and accommodation.
