Eight girls contest Miss Heilala crown for 2013-14 [1]

Eight Tongan girls vying for the Miss Heilala crown 2013-14 made their first appearance on June 28, during an orientation program at the ‘Oholei Beach Resort, Tongatapu.
The contestants, including two local girls and five from overseas, were briefed on judging events to be held on July 1-5 at a Heilala Village on Vuna Wharf in central Nuku’alofa.
The local girls are Miss Kai Mai Burgers Lioni Palaa (25) and Miss Chateau Tonga Teuila Telefoni (19).
Contestants from overseas include Miss Meile Mei Langi Australia Mele Lingisiva Na’a (18), Miss Appraxus Immigration NZ 2013 Rosamarie Fili (22), Miss NZ Friendly Island Body Builders Association and THS Ex-Students Lita Mary Bloomfield (21), Miss Victoria Australia Angelique Iviiti (19), Miss Lady Maria Tonga-Australia Helen Talipeau (25) and Miss Horizon Sun Susitina Fakahafua (22).
The reigning Miss Heilala 2012-13 Ebony Nuku also attended the program.
Pageant events
The Miss Heilala Pre-Pageant interview will be held on Monday, July 1 at the National Cultural Centre.
On Tuesday, July 2 is a Miss Heilala Tau’olunga competition to be followed by a Miss Heilala South Pacific Evening competition of island creation, talent and sarong wear, on July 4.
The new Miss Heilala 2013-14 will be crowned during a ball on Friday, July 5.
