Sifa Tu'utafaiva, new Minister of Police and Revenue [1]

In a Cabinet reshuffle over the weekend, the two portfolios of the Minister for Police, Prisons and Fire Services, and the Minister for Revenue Services, have been taken up by a new member of Cabinet, Siosifa Tu'utafaiva, the No. 6 Tongatapu People's Representative to the Legislative Assembly of Tonga.
'Aholotu Palu, the Acting Chief Secretary and Secretary to Cabinet, said this afternoon that Sifa took up the positions effective on Saturday, February 2.
He said Hon Fe'ao Vakata who was formerly the Minister for Revenue Services, has taken over as new Minister of Public Enterprises, a porfolio formerly held by Hon. Clive Edwards. The post was also effective on February 2.
Hon Clive Edwards retains the Minister for Justice portfolio.
Sifa is a lawyer and chairman of the Whole House Committee of the House. It is his first ministerial appointment.
The Tongan Cabinet now has 12 Ministers.
