An inquest will be held in Neiafu, Vava'u tomorrow into the death of Milan Rindzak (35), a Slovakian, whose remains were found onboard the JeReVe yacht that went aground on a reef near Luatafito Atoll, Vava'u in November 2012.
The JeReVe was later found to have a cargo of over 200kgs of cocaine.
Deputy Police Commissioner, 'Unga Fa'oa told Matangi Tonga Online this afternoon that the inquest would enable the jury and the judge to draw a conclusion on available evidence to establish a cause of death.
"The investigation will continue, because there are finger prints and DNA testing to be concluded," but 'Unga said that for health reasons, doctors at Prince Ngu Hospital wanted something to be done with the remains, which had been held since November last year.
Tonga's Police Commissioner, Grant O'Fee said that contact had been established with next of kin in Slovakia, through the Slovakian diplomatic mission in Australia.
Once the inquest is completed, the Vava'u police said that the remains would be buried at the Palangi's Cemetery overlooking the Port of Refuge.
