Senior Crown Counsel Sione Sisifa said today, there was no fixture for Preliminary Inquiry dates yet. He said the case was adjourned for Chambers on February 22, 2013 for dates to be fixed then. In the meantime, we are copying all prosecution documents to Lord Tu'iha'ateiho's legal representation for preparation, he said.
The Preliminary Inquiry was initially set to be held for one-day in October at the Nuku'alofa Magistrate's Court and it was adjourned for a new date to be fixed for November. The case was again adjourned to February 2013, because the accused is now understood to have new legal representation, Kahungunu Barron-Afeaki and Tavake Afeaki and they need time to prepare.
