Tongan swimmer 'Amini Fonua wins heat at London Olympics [1]

Swimmer 'Amini Fonua won his heat in the men's 100m breaststroke event and clocked in the 41st fastest time in the world at the London Olympics on Saturday July 28. Although 'Amini did not advance into the semi-finals of event he achieved a time of 1:03.65 in his heat, held at the Aquatics Centre in London.
The next event for Team Tonga will be Andy Liu competing in the men's 100m sprint, on August, 4, while 'Ana Po'uhila will represent Tonga in the women's shot put.
Team Tonga consisting of the three athletes and officials were welcomed by the Tongan community at a reception hosted by Tonga's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Europe, HE Dr Sione Ngongo Kioa, on July 28, were they met Crown Prince Tupouto'a 'Ulukalala and Crown Princess Sinaitakalala, who are in London to support the Tongan athletes at the Olympics.
