A show of colorful sarong wear, creative island creation and talent show by seven Miss Heilala contestants wowed a large audience in the final judging events, before tonight's Miss Heilala 2012-13 crowning.
The South Pacific Evening, a highlight of the Miss Heilala Pageant had contestants looking their best as they were judged on the final three categories, at Pangai Lahi. The night began with the girls in their sarong wear followed by creative and unique contemporary island creation costumes and talent competition.
The top four contestants in each category were announced. Local contestants are doing well particularly, Miss Black Pearl Suites Kathleen Walters from Nukunuku and Miss Liahona Alumni, Ebony Nuku, from Fanga who placed in all top four positions of the five judging events from the first pre-pageant interview, the tau'olunga, sarong, contemporary island creation and talent competitions.
At the same time, four contestants stood out in last night's events and were placed in all top four positions (in random order) of the three judging events; sarong, contemporary island creation and talent. They were the Miss Black Pearl Suites, Miss Liahona Alumni, Miss Bou's Fashion Diamond Langi from New Zealand and Miss Lady Maria Australia Siulolo Ramsay, a local contestant.
