Prince 'Ulukalala launches Vava'u League season [1]

PRINCE 'Ulukalala, the patron of the Tonga Rugby League officially opened the Vava'u's 2010 Rugby League season on Saturday March 27, at the Vava'u High School ground, Neiafu, Vava'u.
A special guest at the opening was Finau Moimoi, the mother of Rugby League star, Fuifui Moimoi from the village of Mataika.
Also attending the opening of the Vava'u Rugby League season was Saia Moehau, the chairman of the Tonga Rugby League, and the secretary Lopeti 'Uhatafe who accompanied Prince 'Ulukalala from Tongatapu.
Following the opening ceremony, there were opening matches, and the main game of the day was a clash between the Kameli Warriors and a Ta'anea/Ha'alaufuli TH team. The Warriors was thrashed by TH 24-6.
Rugby League is becoming popular in Vava'u and the visit by the patron and the chairman and the secretary of the Tonga Rugby League, and the inviting of Finau Moimoi was an impetus to the promotion of Rugby League in Vava'u.
