REMEMBERING Tae Kami (15), a remarkable young girl, who passed away in August 2008 after a courageous three years battle with cancer, over 200 supporters joined a "Walk on Walk Strong Tonga" WOWS event in Nuku'alofa on Saturday, December 11 to raise funds for the Child Cancer Foundation of Tonga.
The walk that began from the wharf at Ma'ufanga to the central Nuku'alofa waterfront was joined by Tae's parents Taholo and Sina Kami with family and friends.
This is the second year of the "Walk on Walk Strong Tonga", which is a fundraising arm of the Tae Kami Foundation that raised $12,000 last year for child cancer.
The amount raised on Saturday was still being counted by the organizers this evening and will be confirmed later.

WOWS was also held twice in Fiji twice starting last year and funds raised were donated to the Fiji Child Cancer organisation.
The family plans for WOWS to start in Samoa and Auckland next year, with funds raised donated to the children with cancer in those countries.
Entertainment held at a tent on the waterfront featured Tae's friends from Queen Salote College, singer Angela Afeaki and other local talent.
Money was raised in Saturday's walk through the selling of refreshments, t-shirts and wristbands and other donation.
