The Wallabies twins, Saia and Anthony Fainga'a, met Tongan Prime Minister, family, friends and rugby fans in Tonga last weekend after coming to Tonga with their father on a good will visit.
The twins who both play for the Australian national rugby team, the Wallabies, were guests of honour at a Saturday night reception hosted by the Prime Minister, Dr Feleti Sevele, who thanked them for being very good ambassadors for Tonga.
The twins father is Tongan, and their mother is Australian. The Prime Minister also reminded the twins of their close family connection to Ma'ufanga, where their Tongan grandmother come from, and he believed that their Ma'ufanga connection contributed a lot to their charm and rugby talent, "this is, of course, despite their stronger Vava'u connection through their father."
The twins were accompanied by their father Saia senior on their two weeks visit to Tonga. After spending a few days with relatives at Ma'ufanga, they went to Vava'u.
Dr Feleti Sevele presented the twins with presents from government. 'Isitolo Maka, the coach of the 'Ikale Tahi also presented gifts to the twins.
Dr Sevele said that other rugby stars, 'Isileli Folau and Willi Mason, would also be also visiting Tonga during the Christmas holidays.
