Israeli Ambassador presents credentials to King George Tupou V [1]

HIS EXCELLENCY Mr. Shemi Tzur, Israel Ambassador to the Kingdom Tonga will be in Nuku'alofa from 28th to 30th March to present his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King George Tupou V, on Tuesday 29th March 2011.
Apart from Ambassador Shemi Tzur's audience with His Majesty, he will make courtesy calls on Government Officials, including the Speaker of the House, Lord Lasike, Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Justice, Transport and Works Hon. Samiu K Vaipulu and Minister of Health Hon. 'Uliti Uata.
Ambassador Tzur has participated in Middle East peace talks in the 1990s, and has held diplomatic posts in South Africa, Turkey, Australia, Fiji and Uzbekistan. He had previously been the Israeli Ambassador to Cyprus, Finland and Estonia, and has held the personal rank of Ambassador since April 2006.
Ambassador Tzur's office is based in Wellington, New Zealand and he is also accredited to Tonga, Samoa, Cook Island and Niue. Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defence, 29/03/11.
