Tonga's King to attend Royal Wedding [1]

HM King George Tupou V is in London to attend the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton on Friday, April 29 at Westminster Abbey.
The king arrived in London on Sunday, April 24.
The office of the Lord Chamberlain in Nuku'alofa in a press release stated that King George Tupou V together with members of visiting Foreign Royal Families go to Westminster Abbey for the wedding ceremony, and later to Buckingham Palace for a reception, for over 600 guests.
While in London, the king will have an audience with HRH Prince of Wales at Clarence House and will also meet with their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester at a special function at Kensington Palace.
He would then continue on a private visit to two European capitals before returning to Tonga, the Lord Chamberlain stated.
At the same time in Nuku'alofa a special occasion is planned at the Consular House in celebration of the Royal Wedding this evening.
Invitations were issued by the British High Commissioner in Fiji HE Mr Malcolm McLachan and wife Dr Mary McLachan who are in the Tonga for the occasion.
