Prisoner faced more marijuana charges [1]

A man serving time for possession of marijuana faced more charges in the Nuku'alofa Supreme Court this week.
Kusitafu Pohahau (38) , who is currently serving a two and a half year sentence at the Hua'tolitoli Prison for the possession of Indian hemp, appeared at the Nuku'alofa Supreme Court on January 24 -25 on a new charge of the possessing six plastic bags and 21 aluminium foils of Indian hemp .
The illicit drug was discovered by the Police at the home of Paea Vaka'uta at the village of Longoteme in 2002 where Pohahau was living at the time.
Chief Justice Robin Webster said he would announce his judgement at the Nuku'alofa Supreme court during the second week of February.
The counsel for the Crown was Sione Sisifa and counsel for the defendant was Mele Mangisi.
Meanwhile, Pohahau is also scheduled to appear in court in late March on charges of housebreaking and theft at the Tonga Communications Corporation office in 2002.
