PM will miss June 2 State Opening of new Parliament [1]

The historical opening of the first session of Tonga's newly reformed parliament will be held tomorrow Thursday, June 2 with a state opening by King George Tupou V, including the fanfare of brass bands and marching students that will be missed by the Prime Minister Lord Tu'ivakano.
The Chief Clerk of the House Sione Tekiteki confirmed today that HM King George Tupou V would open parliament at Parliament House.
All secondary schools throughout Tongatapu are expected to participate in the marching in Nuku'alofa.

However, the historical opening of the first session of the new parliament on June 2 will be missed by the Prime Minister Lord Tu'ivakano, who is abroad.
The Prime Minister is attending the first Pacific Islands Foreign Ministers Meeting hosted by the Republic of Korea that began on May 31. He returns to Tonga on June 6.
