Tupou College raises over $1 million [1]

OVER $1 million pa'anga was collected by ex-students of Tupou College at their 145th Anniversary Celebration at Toloa on Saturday, June 25.
The celebration began with a prayer service conducted by Rev Siupeli Taliai followed by feasting and entertainment in the afternoon attended by the Queen Mother HM Halaevalu Mata'aho and HRH Princess Pilolevu Tuita.
Tomasi Fakahua, a member of the Ex Students Committee said on June 27, that they collected just over $1 million pa'anga during the day's fundraising.
Hundreds of ex-students from throughout Tongatapu, outer islands and from abroad also attended the celebration that began on June 21, with an Ex-students march in Nuku'alofa.
Tupou College, a secondary school owned by the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga, was established in 1866 by the missionary Rev James Egan Moulton.
