House adjourns for 2011 Parliament Tour [1]

THE Tongan Parliament is currently adjourned for two weeks for the Annual Parliamentary tour that allows parliamentarians to return to their elected constituencies, throughout Tongatapu and the outer islands.
The Parliament office in Nuku'alofa confirmed on July 8, that the tour began on July 4 and that the House would resume sitting on July 18.
During the tour members of parliament return to their elected constituencies meet with their people and are expected to identify their development needs.
People's Representatives and Nobles Representatives have started holding meetings at their constituencies this week.
